The Delta Tau chapter is honored to have been selected as the next host chapter of GIRLS Academy! GIRLS Academy is a day-and-a-half retreat for middle-school girls run by Kappa actives. The girls come to discuss challenges they face, journal about their dreams, participate in a community service project and be mentored by Kappa collegians. GIRLS Academy was developed by our Fraternity Headquarters to provide a sense of empowerment for young girls, and to introduce them to mentors they can relate to: girls that were once just like them! GIRLS Academy stands for Girls Inspiring Respect Leadership and Service.
At Kappa's very first GIRLS Academy, a mom whose daughter had just attended the retreat approached us. She said simply, “GIRLS Academy has changed my daughter’s life. You have her believing that she can go to college... and now you have me believing it, too.”
