Sisterhood

Kappa Sisterhood
Our chapter holds frequent sisterhood events to make our members feel connected and empowered. Our VP Standards, Kate Klausner, works so hard to plan events for our chapter. A fan favorite sisterhood is our weekly Bachelor Mondays. Girls from all grades gather together in our TV room to enjoy the entertaining show with snacks and chatter. We also like to keep our girls motives up during finals with loaded study snacks and bringing puppies to the house. Other events include decorating holiday cookies, tie-dying and coming together to cheer on our sisters at their lacrosse games. We even have had some more creative events like "Kappa Assassins" where members had the mission of  tracking down another sister on campus, taking their name tag and ask for a fun fact about them.

Panhellenic Sisterhoods
Every semester at USC, every sorority is paired with another sorority with the purpose of increasing inter-sororital relations. We had the pleasure this year to be paired with Gamma Phi Beta in the fall and Alpha Phi in the spring. Our first event with GPhi was a "Joy Break" focused on mindfulness and movement hosted by Stacie Cooper and Nicole Meline. This event helped our girls relieve some stress during finals with yoga and lessons on having a clear mind. Plus, it doubled as a toiletry drive and had healthy juices from Pressed Juicery. Our second event with Alpha Phi was a "Paint and Sip" sisterhood where girls came together for snacks, mocktails, painting and music. Girls were able to bond and have fun with this lighthearted event. Shoutout to our very special Panhellenic delegate, Sammy Brill, for making these events possible.

Virtual Sisterhood
To keep our sisterhood alive while we are apart, we have had some virtual sisterhoods. We have implemented "Key Kappa of the Week" to increase sisterhood spotlight. Each week a sister who has been doing something awesome is highlighted. Key Kappas have having an awesome internship, a cool hobby or just for being a good friend. A few weeks ago we had a virtual online yoga class, taught by our very own Charlotte Watkins, who is an instructor at CorePower Yoga. We have also held a fun TikTok sisterhood, where our members can submit videos they've made and are posted on our Instagram close friends story to make all of our member smile.
