Social

Invites

Invites are one of our most fun events! Our girls get to dress up three times a semester for a formal date night. We kick off the fall semester with Kappa Kabana, a colorful and bright themed invite. Girls dress in all colors and bring a little liveliness as a welcome back to school! We close the semester with Sapphire Ball, a tasteful winter invite filled with Christmas trees and snowflakes. In the spring, we have Kappa Krush! This invite is loaded with surprise as our social chair, Emily Abts, pairs each of our girls with a mystery date. Each date picks out a costume for themselves and their Kappa and when arrived at the venue pairs find each other in matching costumes! Our final event is Senior Sendoff, where seniors where color and our other members where black or white. This is our favorite event to celebrate and honor our sisters who worked so har to finally graduate! We also host two surprise invites as a special tribute to our girls.

Exchanges
The second type of social event our sorority has is exchanges. Kappa is paired with a fraternity on a Thursday and the two groups dress up in funny themes and go to a venue for night filled with dancing and great conversations. This year the themes have ranged from high school heroes, to Mardi Gras to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. An exchange is the perfect excuse for our girls to dig through their costume bins and have a fun night meeting new people.
